Athletics

Powell Middle School is the home of the PMS Panthers and Lady Panthers athletic teams. School sanctioned sports are in full compliance with Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) rules and guidelines. For information regarding compliance, eligibility, and other questions regarding PMS athletics, please contact our Athletic Director, Glen Price.

Powell Middle and all Knox County middle schools have three sanctioned sports: basketball (boys and girls), track & field (boys and girls), and cheerleading.  All sports at Powell Middle require an updated physical that can be completed either at your child's doctor or a local walk-in clinic.  Find the physical form here.  These need to be dated after April 15, 2025.
